Spring Time Activities

As part of our spring farm theme we read Katherine Sully's Pig's Egg. The pig feels left out because his avian friends all are hatching eggs. The pig finds a turnip and cares for it as if it were an egg. Out pops a caterpillar. We explored a turnip this day and discovered it was starting to sprout. As you can see, Trudy, our turnip, began to sprout and grow roots.

A staple science experiment. Coloring white carnations to emphasize and explain how plants drink like a straw. I actually used liquid watercolor. I am hoping the colors are more vibrant!

Paint with flowers!!!!!!
